Continuing Care is where comfort, independence, and care come together. WestPark Lodge is classified as a Continuing Care Home Type B, including Type B – Secure Space.
Joining WestPark Lodge is a collaborative process. Alberta Health Services (AHS) works closely with the Lodge team, the Resident, and their Advocate to ensure each person’s needs and preferences are understood. A thorough assessment by an AHS Case Manager helps guide this process, so everyone receives the right level of care and support.
Life at WestPark Lodge is tailored to each individual. Residents receive 24-hour on-site care and guidance, with support for a wide range of needs. Specialized secure areas provide a safe and nurturing space for those with moderate to advanced dementia, offering both freedom and peace of mind.
WestPark Lodge is a place to feel at home, connect with others, and live life your way. Residents are encouraged to personalize their surroundings, creating a warm and inviting environment supported by a team that truly cares.

The care team at the WestPark Lodge creates Resident Care Plans, tailored and specific to each Resident, incorporating each person’s unique needs and preferences. These Care Plans are updated as needs change.

Care services are delivered by Certified Health Care Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. Care Plan management and delivery is overseen by Registered Nurses at WestPark Lodge and AHS.
At the WestPark Lodge it’s our belief that people living with dementia should receive a specialized approach to care, where caregivers understand that the relationships with the Residents they serve have meaning.
The WestPark Lodge has an 8-suite secured living cottage, specifically for people with advanced dementia care needs.
The WestPark Lodge supports residents remaining at the Lodge as long as possible, and is committed to providing holistic end-of-life palliative care.
